Despite the fact that it is rated fourth in terms of cryptocurrency ownership, Nigeria is considered to be the country with the highest “number of people searching for ‘bitcoin’ and ‘crypto’ keywords on Google.” These findings appear to be supported by the conclusions of another study, which revealed that Nigeria is the country with the highest level of obsession with cryptocurrencies.

According to the data provided by Triple A, South Africa is the country in Africa that has the next greatest population of cryptocurrency holders, with 7.7 million people holding this digital asset. This number represents around 12.5 percent of South Africa’s total population. There are 6.1 million people in Kenya, or 11.6% of the total population, who possess cryptocurrencies, making Kenya the country in Africa with the third biggest population of crypto owners.
